Nineteen year old, Jesse Levine of Boca Raton, a 2007
NCAA All American in both singles and doubles, is
currently in Dubai practicing with Roger Federer in
preparation for his the balance of the ATP hard court season in the United States. He is scheduled to be in Dubai for the next two weeks and hopes to be in the best shape of his life when he returns.
After the first two days of two hour intense
work-outs, Jesse shoes were filled with sweat from the
sweltering heat that exceeds 110 degrees on the court.
However, Jesse is quickly adapting to the conditions
and level of commitment shown by Roger Federer, the
number #1 player in the world.
Levine finished his freshman season at the University
of Florida, with a perfect 21-0 win-loss record in
singles and was a quarter-finalist at the NCAA
Championships. He was twice named SEC tennis player of
the week, a new university record. Levine was also
named 2007 NCAA Freshman Player of the Year.
Jesse comes from an athletic family and has been
inspired by his parents, Nathan and Brenda, his
coaches at the Nick Bollitieri IMG Academy and Andy
Jackson and Jeremy Bayon at the University of Florida.
However, Jesse credits much of his determination and
ability to fight from a much tougher battle his
brother must wage. Jesse's younger brother, Daniel,
just sixteen, has been afflicted with colitis for
several years. However, Daniel refuses to keep his
pain and suffering from allowing him to lead the most
normal life possible. Although having to be home
schooled by his mother, Daniel manages to practice
golf daily and will be playing for Olympic Heights
Golf team in the fall.
Levine's schedule, when he returns to the USA,
currently includes Binghamton, Cincinnati, New Haven
and hopefully a spot in the US Open for his outstanding efforts and results.
